Principal Consultant
Amy is a seasoned Healthcare Executive and transformational leader who serves as the Principal Consultant for this project. She is now dedicated full-time to consulting, where she specializes in strategic startup programs and operational turnarounds for behavioral health organizations. Previously, she served as the Market Chief Executive Officer for Summit Behavioral Healthcare’s Iowa operations, where she managed facilities with an annual revenue exceeding $30M and successfully led initiatives to reinstitute facility licenses from the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.
Her background includes high-level government administration as the State Opioid Treatment Authority (SOTA) for Colorado, and as a Public Health Advisor and Compliance Officer with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) where she rewrote state laws and drastically reduced administrative burdens for organizations and providers. Amy’s reputation as a leader who scales organizational capacity through growth-oriented strategy is built on her foundation as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Addiction Studies and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
